FASHION TREND AND FORECASTING REPORT
TRACKSUITS AND SNEAKERS
TRACKSUIT AND SNEAKERS INTRODUCTION:
The tracksuits and sneakers used to be considered gym wear or something that you’d put on just to run errands. People are making it stylish and creative. This trend usually shows up in three main ways: matching sets in bold or neutral colors, eye-catching sneakers and layering or accessories that elevate the overall vibe. The tracksuit and sneakers have the balance between comfort and cool which makes this trend to stand out.
TRACKSUIT AND SNEAKERS ANALYSIS:
This trend has shown up mostly in streetwear, and is common among the Gen Z generation, creatives, students, and influencers who are into casual fashion. The tracksuit, along with the sneakers speaks to people who want something easy to wear, but still want to look like they tried. The people who wear this are often drawn to those who are in the music culture (especially hip-hop or R&B), are into sneaker culture, and often like brands like Nike or Adidas, designer pieces like Balenciaga or Off-White. This trend allows individuality and you could style it in a soft way or turn it into a full and complete look. It’s a relevant trend to follow because it reflects how fashion is becoming more about comfort, expression, and versatility, especially within a time where people are navigating busy schedules, shifting priorities, and less pressure to “dress up”.

TRACKSUITS AND SNEAKERS TREND FORECASTING:
Within the next few years, I can see tracksuits and sneakers continuing to evolve, not just in how they’re worn but also the representation. I think they could rely more on sustainability, including inclusive sizing or try with tech wear or hybrid styles. Streetwear’s influence on high fashion is strong, so I think there might be even more luxury brands creating high-quality tracksuits and still collaborating with different sneaker brands. At the same time, there might be more affordable brands and it will likely create more unique designs throughout the future. I think brands like Nike, New Balance, and Adidas will keep leading, and smaller or emerging streetwear brands that really understand the culture should definitely pay attention, if they’re thinking long-term. I think tracksuits and sneakers will be evolving with the people who wear them as time goes on.
